KAPLA

KAPLA is a well-loved toy and educational resource for open-ended play. It was founded in the late 1960s, by dutch antique dealer Tom van der Bruggen, when he wanted to create something that would allow him to accurately model his dream home. The name is taken from the first letters of ‘Kabouter Plankje’, dutch for ‘gnome plank’. Perfect for imaginative play, improving fine motor skills, or challenging building skills, KAPLA can be enjoyed from 3 years up, by children and adults alike. It is used in classrooms as a valuable open-ended resource for learning, whether in art to boost creativity, or maths as a counting or shape tool. There are many different options, with sets from 100 to 1000 of the natural wooden blocks, the octocolour sets created alongside artists, art books, and challenge sets. Whether you use the planks for children learning and improving their mental and physical skills, or adults looking for some fun challenges, KAPLA planks are great family entertainment. All KAPLA blocks are made from sustainable French pinewood from Landes Forest, and only safe, natural colours are used.
